Our expert guides will share the arboretum’s collections, history, and cultural stories, giving you a deeper view of Mānoa’s ecology and conservation efforts. The tour concludes at 10:30 AM, but attendees are welcome to continue exploring the gardens and trails on their own.

This expansive tropical botanical garden, managed by the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, is home to more than 6,000 species of plants, with a special focus on native Hawaiian plants, conservation, and Hawaiian ethnobotany.

On August 2nd, Mālama Manoa's latest Walkabout was held at the Magoon Research Center facility as a mid-morning event. It provided attendees with an overview of traditional composting and worm composting. The curious group left with practical and sustainable knowledge along with a starting batch of vermicast compost for their own gardens.
