Explore Mānoa Valley with expert insights and cultural storytelling
Date: November 17, 2025
Time: 9:15 AM to 10:30 AM
Location: Lyon Arboretum
Guests joined us for a guided morning walk through Lyon Arboretum, a 200-acre living museum at the end of Mānoa Valley. Expert guides shared insights into the arboretum’s plant collections, history, and cultural stories, offering a deeper look at Mānoa’s ecology and conservation efforts. The guided portion concluded at 10:30 AM, and attendees were welcome to continue exploring the gardens and trails on their own.
This expansive tropical botanical garden, managed by the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, is home to more than 6,000 plant species, with a strong focus on native Hawaiian plants, conservation, and Hawaiian ethnobotany.
